Maniparvat

King Janak gifted a big treasury full of gold, gems and damsels to his daughter Sita in her marriage. The belief is that after the marriage the gems piled up here like a mountain. Hence, even today people call it Maniparvat. Sita and Rama use to come here in the monsoon to enjoy the swing. As a ritual on the festival of Hariyaliteej, priests of Ayodhya dangle Sita and Rama in hanging swing.
